The Community
Support, clarity and belonging for independent hospitality
The Kith & Kin Community is the UK’s dedicated support space for independent hospitality operators. It brings together the people who run pubs, cafés, restaurants, bars, small hotels and street food businesses, offering clarity, connection and practical guidance in a curated, judgment-free environment.
If you’re looking for a place that understands the realities of hospitality, you belong here.
Who Can Join the Community
The Community is designed specifically for independent hospitality operators.
This includes:
pubs, cafés, coffee shops, restaurants, bars, street food traders, small hotels, boutique accommodation, caterers, food trucks, pop-ups and everyone in between.
There are two ways to join:
1. Free by Invitation
Membership is free when you are invited by:
a member of The Collective
Kith & Kin directly
An invitation signals values-alignment, readiness and trust.
2. Apply Without an Invitation (£75/month)
Operators without an invitation may apply to join at £75/month, subject to approval.
This keeps the space intentional, curated and operator-first.
Why The Community Exists
Independent hospitality is rewarding, but it can also feel isolating. The pace is relentless, the margins are tight, and the pressure to deliver never stops.
The Community exists so you don’t have to carry all of that alone.
It offers:
conversations with people who understand
support that is practical, honest and grounded
clarity when everything feels overwhelming
connection without judgement
a meaningful sense of belonging
This is a place where you can reflect, ask questions, find direction and feel understood.
The Community is shaped by the Five Pillars of Stand Out Hospitality:
Set High Standards – lead with intention, care and consistency
Stand Out – build meaningful distinction in your local market
Define Your Identity – be clear about who you are and what you’re building
Build Belonging – strengthen loyalty, trust and culture
Tell a Great Story – communicate in a way that feels human and real
Everything you’ll find inside strengthens these five areas.

revenue stabilises

The Community helps you build that belonging — for yourself, your team and your guests.
Built by operators, for operators
Kith & Kin isn’t some corporate community or generic online course. It was created by Cassie Davison, who spent 25 years as an owner-operator and knows what it really takes to survive — and thrive — in independent hospitality. This is a space that honours your reality and gives you what you actually need to move forward.
“Sometimes the universe brings you the people bearing the kind message you need to hear at just the right moment.”
